So we all have the old love we carry for a lifetime.
The old love that fell from heaven so long ago,
Seeps into the heart they say, seeps into the soul it seems.
Snuggle into a blanket of old love on a cold wintry night and dream of kisses...
Or seal yourself into an envelope of old love sent to a secret admirer
The old love that can only exist in dormant memory
Stored. Saved. And ready to fit anywhere, anyone, anytime,
Is like the light from the warm fire that reveals the shadow of a smile
(it is always the mating season)
We've been waiting here longing to be selected as the subject
for story time from the Venus messenger
Listen closely
Circle of curious cupids cupping capfuls carefully
Polishing pouches
Dipping the arrows
And finding targets
With the aim of the ages.
Once struck
the love portion number 9
seeps into the soul it seems
Seeps into the heart they say
And expands until it breaks.
