..and in the day before yesterday my star came to me and
unfolded my imagination like a gallery in the capital of an undiscovered country...
This collection of images, citizenship projects was initiated in Manhattan in 2000 for a one man showing I had in Helsinki the spring of 2001 (prior to 9/11) entitled "the right to remain silent". I was lucky enough to have my show reviewed by an art critic of the Helsingen Sonomat who generously called my art fresh and gave the show an enthusiastic review. This collection has grown and evolved over the years since 9/11.
This collection of images, the charismatics, are from the earliest days of my inspration to start painting. I pulled from literature's tragic heroes, like Hardy's Jude the Obscure, Hawthorne's Hester Prynne from The Scarlet Letter and Lawrence's Lady Chatterly. Charismatics are people who are victimized by their own devices, like many of us today. I am always updating this collection of portraits.
This collection of images, the caravanseri, was inspired by my study of the prophets from the Old Testament. The idea of a human in communication with God is a dominant theme of my art. The "Miracle Tent" (left), seventh of my twelve original paintings, is one of the places where this spiritual contact happens. They represent the soul, the places for believery. In my mind the Bible was written in tents, and was also the first tabernacle for worship.
This collection of images, karmayoga, are my landscapes. The kites I think emerged as an expression of a wish for a connection between the earth and sky, and are quite indicative of the subconcious state of my being. The images represent an expression of freedom and levity and seem to transport the viewer. Additional pieces in this collection include intuitive abstracts and assembled art from found objects.
This collection of images, minority damage, is a cacophony of pieces that depict the life of what I call the parallel world of nontruth. At its center is the helpless state of the minorites of the world who are victimed by the myth of race and the adoption of racial stereotypes by people who are unable to trust the identities of their own unique souls. It depicts the human condition as one long chain of victimization. The central theme seems to be a forced inate desire of the victim to victimize.
other possible showing proposals available on request:

This collection of images, believery, intends to focus on the numinous world of worship leaders, biblical prophets, shamen, tarot readers, illuminati and the such. My concept of believery is that it is the driving force behind all human behavior. Belief is the only real offset and shield against fear. The majority of my first images were believers and are in many art collections here in America and abroad. "The Cardinal of New York" (left) was painted the day of the death of John O'Connor in 2000 and represents the soul fleeing the body to exist in the afterworld represents people one sees on the path to Heaven.
