even though I don't hear a bell I see a sign and feel a push (I think it was Noah) back to the ring

when I'm really just doing my best to best my heart to spoil the sport
and disappoint those betting against me. you know them.
knowing it doesn't matter if I win or lose
I will still end up more confused than Ali Cassius Clay
in the end. standing before God mumbling and shaking
from the long fight of the believer.
MAN vs Nature.
everyone already knows how it ends.
except me. I am waiting for the answer.

all the saints and the angels hold their breaths, quiet on the stage
