Tony is a native of Galveston Island, Texas, a small town of about 60,000 people. He introduced himself to the Art World via his gallery Serious Studios back in October of 1998.  The gallery was featured almost immediately in an article about the revival of art on Galveston's historic Postoffice Street in Southern Living Magazine with a photo of Tony.  That same year his comments and photo were also featured in an article about gallery owners and the Internet for the international edition of Art Business News.

He began his intuitive style of painting in 1999 at a surprise show for his gallery's second anniversary (after having never really painted a serious piece of art in his life). The event was to change everything in his world.  One of the gallery patrons said he "started out painting museum quality pieces" and was therefore encouraged by many of his collectors to go to New York, the mecca of the American Art Experience.  While in New York he satiated his passion for collecting outsider art and initiated a website enterprise of this art at NYCStreetArtist.Com which ended up being featured in a Sunday edition of The New York Times ventures section along with a painting by Tony, the "New York Believer".
This was in his second year of painting.

Tony reopened his Serious Studios Gallery in Miami after the New York experience with a clearer focus to show art of other self-taught intuitives.  Recently he was invited to his first international one-man show in Helsinki, Finland where the show, The Right To Remain Silent,  was enthusiastically reviewed by their national newspaper, the Helsingin Sanomat, the accompanying picture was "The American Sister". He was also featured in a television video review of the gallery showing and Tony presented a painting to the Consul of the US Embassy in Helsinki to hang in the Ambassador's residence.  He was recently chosen as a judge for an annual art competition held by United States Congressman Nick Lampson at the campus of the University of Houston.  Tony opened Serious Studios in the Miami's Design District as a collector central for emerging artists worldwide. His  monthly group exhibition URGENCY EMERGING EMERGENCY  and his artistry was the focus of a television interview with Meredith Porte of WLRN's ArtStreet program. He now lives in Stuart, Florida. Please visit his gallery: Clarity @ Confusion Corner.

His current objectives include developing other opportunities to show his unique world of Believery.  "Belief," he says, "is the first step to achieving anything of importance. I am only at the beginning of my Discovery."
